“东非十字架”之称的肯尼亚

　　That Kenya is a "land of contrasts" is not a traveller's guide cliche. The country straddles the equator， in the South East is the Indian Ocean， and to the west is lake Victoria - the second largest fresh water lake in the world.

　　The vegetation varies from the dense tropical forests， the mangrove forests along the coast， to the shruberry of the arid desert lands， to the thick mountainous forests and alpine vegetation along the slopes of the snow-capped Mount Kenya.

　　肯尼亚被叫做“东非十字架”并不是故意写在游客指南上的。赤道横贯国土中部，东南临印度洋，西部是维多利亚湖-世界第二大淡水湖。

　　这里的植被各种各样，有高密的热带森林，沿海分布的红木森林，干旱的沙漠地带，厚密的高山森林以及高山植被，还有以雪为顶的肯尼亚雪山。
